The Kent Coastal Half-Marathon is a very well organised event. Taking place between Margate and Broadstairs the course takes in much of the Viking coast and though described as undulating it is quite hilly in parts, though this doesn’t detract from what is a very enjoyable race.

The 9.30am start makes it quite a challenge to reach by public transport if you do not live locally. So I stayed at the excellent Chislet Court Farm located between Canterbury and Margate the night before.
Both race and accommodation are highly recommended.
